“No way we could have completed this one without you. You’ve been tremendous through this entire process.”
- International client on Kerrie’s four-month involvement in a major transport bid
If you have already met Kerrie (one of our Senior Consultants with over a decade's experience in tendering), you’ll know all about her eagle eye for detail, and her ability to develop strong rapport with clients.
Kerrie’s expertise in writing bids was built initially through her work in the Investment sector, based in London. As a Client Portfolio Manager for a multi-billion dollar investment team, she had responsibility for business development across 27 countries – including developing and presenting major proposals to financial institutions throughout Europe. Kerrie thrived in this high-pressured environment and honed her skills in writing and managing complex bids, sometimes with only very short deadlines.
Since joining Plan A in 2013, Kerrie has led or supported over 150 tenders and presentations for large and small companies in a wide range of sectors.
She’s calmly and efficiently managed major bids for roading, construction and transport companies; added value to New Zealand and international electrical utilities bids; worked alongside scores of smaller companies to produce outstanding, polished tenders; and coached winning presentation teams. These cover NZ & international procurement opportunities for NZTA, government ministries including Ministry of Education, local authorities & private firms. Bid models include JVs, Design & Construct, Early Contractor Involvement (ECI), and Public Private Partnerships (PPPs).
Working with our Operations Manager, Heather Murray, Kerrie oversees the Plan A business across New Zealand and internationally.
Like other Plan A consultants, she loves the challenge of rapidly getting to grips with a company’s ‘killer proposition’ – the single factor that will convince clients that they are the only company that’s perfectly placed to win the contract. Translating those concepts into a brilliant tender response that not only ticks the evaluators’ boxes, but also stands head and shoulders above the others – that’s what Kerrie loves best!
