From the foundations in her writing career as a competency-based instructional designer back in 1985, Jan has continued to develop and extend her writing capabilities since then. Since joining Plan A, she has honed her skills in managing and developing content for hundreds of tenders and related documents in a wide range of industries.
She's shown an outstanding talent for developing detailed understanding of clients' businesses in a short space of time, and articulating that understanding in compelling written content that wins business for them.
Jan is a favourite with many of our clients, because she is accommodating and easy to work with, and she always delivers content that impresses. She has a natural talent to build strong and enduring client relationships.
The foundations of her writing are based on instructional design methodology focused on results and how to achieve them. Taking up the opportunity to relocate to Melbourne, Australia in 1991, Jan branched out into technical writing. She worked on a number of large software applications across a diverse range of business sectors including finance, technology, education, travel, and communications.
Moving more into business writing and specialising in tender writing since 2003, Jan worked as an independent contractor throughout Australia before joining Plan A after her return to New Zealand. She has written successful tenders for businesses and multinational clients across many industries.
Jan enjoys a challenge. She combines her highly analytical skills, understanding of business processes and functions, result focused approach with a willingness to produce a successful solution to address customer needs.
