Caroline founded Plan A in 1998, and over the past 20 years she built the business to become New Zealand's largest and most experienced professional tender and business writing company. The company today has offices throughout New Zealand, as well as associates based in Europe and Australia. The Plan A team regularly write business documents and tenders for companies throughout the world.
Her background includes business management, education, marketing and strategic facilitation. With a passion for creating documents that make a difference for clients, Caroline has focused on building a culture of excellence with Plan A.
Since 2016, Caroline has delegated operational management of Plan A to the management team, enabling her to focus on Plan A's sister company, Clever Buying.
Through Caroline's focus on training and assessing tender evaluators and procurement managers, as well as participation and input into several government procurement groups, the Plan A team constantly gains valuable understanding of procurement trends, as well as general evaluation priorities and scoring methods. This gives the Plan A consultants useful insight into the areas that tenderers need to focus on to develop compelling bids.
Caroline's role today within Plan A is focused on providing governance support and strategic direction. She also takes the opportunity to advocate on general issues of procurement and tendering to both suppliers and clients.
