Clever Buying and Plan A
Caroline Boot, founder of Clever Buying and Plan A Tender Specialists, will share her knowledge, insight and experience gained over the last 20 years heavily engaged in improving tendering practices, for both clients and suppliers across the Asia-Pacific region and beyond.
Through Clever Buying, Caroline provides procurement expertise to business and government on major projects. She developed the Clever Buying course for procurement professionals and has gone on to be the most experienced assessor for the NZQA Procurement qualification.
Her experience, gained from working on both sides of the fence means she understands your challenges as a bidder and most importantly, she knows what makes your buyers tick.
Over the past eight years, Caroline has worked with clients in the private and public sectors. This includes a range of commercial companies and government organisations such as NZTA, ministries and departments, and procurement staff from most local councils across New Zealand. She has managed major procurement planning processes, chaired several significant tender evaluations, developed and implemented scoring systems, and been consulted on hundreds of procurement processes.
